I Think He Still Likes Me.
I don't think I mentioned last month that Andrew and I have now passed the 5 year mark. 5 wonderful years, 2 beautiful children, and the adventure of grad school ahead of us, who could ask for anything more? But where oh where has the time gone?! Sometimes I think "5 years? Really?" and other times I think, "Only 5? But I don't even remember life before we were married!" But, however the five years measure, I think he still likes me. Aren't they pretty?

The Poem
So we finally figured out what Bella was quoting to us the other day...
Now, fur cones belong in trees,
Up high with the buzzing bees.
But this one I found down on the ground,
Freed by a gentle breeeze!
And we were right, it is from Winnie the Pooh. She recited the whole thing!

An Older Photo...
Our Favorite Faces
Eva has two faces that she wears 90% of the time that isn't spent crying or sleeping. They are her "Old Man Face" and her "Very Very Worried Face", which are actually pretty similar. We're looking forward to the next couple of weeks when we expect to see some smiles, because as cute as these are they just don't really say "Cute little baby!". Well, I guess I think they're cute, but they're not going to win her any cute baby contests.

Oh, and get a load of those dark blue eyes. Bella's were never blue, and are still some non-descript muddle of grey, brown, and hazel, but it looks like Eva may take after her daddy!

Little Updates
Bella has been saying some interesting things lately, so I thought I'd pass them on.
"Mom, are we going to buy Baby Eva some teeth so that she can eat and drink?"
"Mom, that skirt is too short. You need to go find another one."
She also managed to recite a four line poem to us in the car the other day, and we have no idea where she learned it. We're guessing it's from Winnie the Pooh because it spoke of bees in trees and leaves and such and it just sounded Milne-ish. However, now that I go to search for it, I cannot find it, so I wonder if it really is from Winnie the Pooh. Anyhow, Andrew and I just sort of stared at each other in shock and asked one another where she learned that, and neither of us knew. Maybe I'll try to drag it out of her when she wakes up from her nap.
On the Eva side of things, she is taking after her sister in this particular way, so we're low on cute photos for now. And for those of you who look at Eva and think how chubby she looks and insist that Bella was never this tubby, I encourage you to look here.
On the mom and dad side of things, Andrew is leaving in 9 days for his six weeks in Seattle. I try not to think about it if I can help it. On the upside though, tomorrow is his last day of work (officially unemployed!) so we'll have him all to ourselves next week, save the occasional ambulance run. We're looking forward to lots of time together in preparation for his extended absence.

Coming Home
Here is Little Eva when we got home from the hospital. This is the same carseat as in these pictures. We're really beginning to realize how huge Bella has gotten now.
Open Eyes
Grandma and the Grandbabies
Little Trackster
This is from a few months ago at the Twilight Invitational here in Moscow. I'm just now getting it up here because I only today downloaded all the pictures from my phone (things are a little slow around here these days!).

Bella was a super track helper and was voted Team Mascot (there wasn't much competition).
