Christmas

Christmas this year was a little different from years past in that we stayed at my parents' the whole time, and Jerry and Bridgette and Ammy were out of town (in Hawaii of all places) so we didn't have our usual big Christmas Eve shebang with them.

We started Christmas Eve at the Christmas Eve service, and then headed home to my parents' with Grandma Becker for a delicious ham dinner and presents. Christmas morning we started with stockings, and then a breakfast of raspberry cream cheese danishes, maple bacon, and dutch babies.

Then commenced the rest of the present opening, and then the cleaning and napping and eating and playing with all the new toys (and the shopping online for what to spend the gift cards on). On the day after Christmas we got together with Grandma Bonnie for more presents and fun.

I'm pretty sure that Bella now has enough dress up clothes to last her the rest of her life, as well as Eva's. She is also well stocked with books, movies, and art supplies.

I should also mention that though Jerry and Bridgette were out of town, we had the privilege of house sitting for them, which included the use of their SUV with drop-down DVD player which was a huge hit with Bella. She loved riding in the car between Troy and Moscow as long as she got to watch Wallace and Grommit!
