And once again, He is kind.

Here's a bit of an update on the whole car accident fiasco. When I first spoke with our fantastic insurance company (USAA), they said that based on my description of the damage to the 4Runner, there was a chance that it might be totaled. So, knowing that we were on a tight schedule with Andrew having to be back in Spokane for school today, we decided to be proactive and start looking at our replacement options in case they did indeed decide that our vehicle was totaled. We had been planning to upgrade to a Toyota Sequoia in a year and a half or two, so we thought that this might just be a little incentive to do so early. I spent Tuesday researching used 4Runners and Sequoias, anywhere between Lewiston and Spokane, private party or dealership. Wednesday we decided we should get some test drives in so that we could act quickly if they deemed our 4Runner a total loss. So, I picked Andrew up from the clinic and we went and test drove an '02 4Runner and an '02 Sequoia, and fell in love with the Sequoia which was miraculously just around the corner from my parents' house. On Thursday we found out that I totaled the 4Runner and we were getting almost enough from the claim to cover the Sequoia. Yay! Friday morning I took the Sequoia to our mechanic to have it checked out, and Friday night we made an offer, it was accepted, and we drove home our new (huge!) truck! I spent the rest of the night detailing the inside and just marveling at how amazingly wonderful the whole situation turned out. God has been very kind to us, and we are ever thankful for His blessings.

Andrew's favorite part? That little "V8" on the grille.

Andrew went back up to Spokane yesterday, and I am still down in Moscow with the girls while we get a few things fixed on the Sequoia (timing belt, etc). We hope to head home tomorrow to see Andrew and keep him from living off of corn dogs for his first week back in school. And speaking of school, today is the beginning of his last didactic quarter! Amazing! Then it's 2 weeks in Seattle, 6 weeks online, 4 weeks off, and then clinical year starts! Time is flying!

A third row! We'll never outgrow this thing!
