And today we celebrate her first birthday! Yes, we are still in denial. Here is a little photo calendar of her first year (one picture from each month)...
The "growing up" seems to have gone much more quickly with Eva than it did with Bella. We think it's because we have just kept thinking of her as "the baby" while Bella is "the toddler". Now we're realizing that Eva is growing up just as quickly as her sister did and we're the ones who are behind! She is almost completely on solid foods now, having pretty much skipped the pureed baby food phase. She's crawling everywhere, cruising around the living room, clapping, interacting, riding Sister's horse, articulating sounds, and becoming quite the little pal for Bella. It is a bit bittersweet to see our baby getting so big, but we are really enjoying having two kids who can play and interact together.

Yeah, she's not quite the chub nugget she was a few months ago! What happened? (Ooooh, right... solid foods, not mom's high fat specialty.) But she'll always be ridiculously adorable. Even when she's 10 and hates that Auntie Bess still calls her that.
