Meet Alice

We've always wanted a dog but have never lived in a place where we could have one. We promised the girls that when we bought a house it would have a yard and we could get a dog. We were sort of planning on getting a puppy for Christmas because, well, who doesn't want to relive that scene from Lady and the Tramp?! But, some friends of ours just happened to have a little Labrador/Weimaraner cross available now

Back when the puppies were born, I thought that black would not work for us. I have white couches and black hair would just not work with that. Then an email went out earlier this week saying they still had one little puppy left. And at that moment I remembered that that's why I have a washing machine (and train dogs to stay off of the furniture anyway). So Andrew and I talked it over and we arranged to go meet the little girl puppy this morning. And we ordered the crate, leash, food, and toys. That night. 2 day shipping (thank you, Amazon Prime!). The crate was waiting on our front porch when we pulled into the driveway with her.

And here she is. Eva named her Alice and it stuck. She's the cuddliest little thing ever and insists on being at my feet constantly. A house, 3 kids, and a puppy. Life is a circus. A non-stop, awesome circus.

Hehehe, doesn't it just make you feel all grown up? ;) Love it.
