One year ago, this very second, I gave birth to our awesome little boy. For some reason, probably relating to the fun new challenges of life with three and then moving, I never got around to posting the pictures that a dear friend, Bess, took for us. So what better time to pull them out and reminisce than right now?! Here is Aaron's birth in [judiciously cropped and edited] pictures!
We had started out the morning with a big breakfast at The Breakfast Club. I can't believe I didn't take pictures of this! Oh well. It was delicious - there was sausage and hash browns and eggs and bacon and zucchini bread and pancakes and coffee and milk and orange juice. No, I didn't finish it all because there's no way it would've fit. ;) I highly recommend starting our your labor day with a huge yummy breakfast if you're able to, though! Then we showed up at the hospital at 7:00 AM and got the party started.
The party was kinda boring at first, but after a nice big lunch, a little walk, and lots of laughing at the stench of the water deliveryman's cologne, things started to pick up. By mid afternoon, things had progressed very nicely and it was time for the fireworks.
After some fun with a short umbilical cord wrapped around our little guy's neck, he was out and finally in my arms.
Aaron Gabriel Stephen Becker was born at 3:41 pm on a beautiful sunny Tuesday in April of 2012.
We couldn't be happier to have this amazing little bundle of squishiness safe and healthy in our arms.
He, on the other hand, would probably have been perfectly happy to stay inside. Sorry, Buddy.
I think our photographer was gone when Eva came to meet him, but here is Bella getting her first look at little Mr. Grumpy pants.
And here he is in every month since. We sure do love our little buddy!
