The Little Man

We had our anatomy ultrasound yesterday and we are so happy to be able to report that everything is looking great. Not even any "Well there's this little thing here which has a 98% chance of clearing up in the next few months, so we're really not worried but we'll check again in a month or two anyway just to be sure" sorts of things like we had with Eva & Aaron. After having had multiple dreams in the past few months about various congenital abnormalities and birth defects, this was a really great mercy. Our little guy (who is still very much a guy, by the way!) is looking great and still measuring a little over a week ahead. He had the hiccups and was yawning and squirming throughout the ultrasound which was so great to see. We didn't get any good profile shots last month, but he was in a great position today....

He has some adorable feet, too.

And we even caught him picking his nose.

We are so blessed to have had a good report yesterday. It seems that every pregnancy for us just gets more and more fatiguing, particularly mentally, so good news like this always has such a great calming effect. We had some issues on Sunday night with contractions and back/abdominal pain, so I'm on antibiotics now just in case there are any infections that might have been causing those symptoms. Things seem to be much better now, and everything looked great and happy to hold Baby in for another few months on the ultrasound, so again that was a huge relief. We are so excited to meet this little guy and we are prayerfully awaiting that day in June or July when we get to visit my favorite red brick building on Main Street and welcome a screaming, chubby, squishy little boy into our arms!

This makes me so pleased for you, Betsy, and thankful to God. May these mercies continue so that your cup completely runs over.
